Professional test
The tests are written by qualified teachers who are specialists in Maths and English. The papers are designed to challenge your child and test their ability to cope with the requirements of the 11+. As schools set their own papers, some papers are more challenging than others and this is reflected in our tests. All teachers and administrative staff hold an enhanced CRB check.

Kings books will be launched shortly and will focus on 11+ exams techniques and will cover the 11+ syllabus on Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. As a research assistant for Kings Publishers it is my job to help find the extracts and articles that are used as comprehension pieces within the 11+ books and mock exams. This involves advising on the suitability of stories as well as selecting my own for use in our textbooks. I also help in ascertaining the appropriate age groups for each particular extract as it is important to challenge students but not stretch them beyond their ability. Being a part of this company has enabled me to use my English skills in a way that will benefit younger students and help them improve in attainment as well as gain in confidence. As an A-level English student, I have always loved the subject and have been an enthusiastic reader from a very young age.
This project has given me the chance to share my enthusiasm and help find new ways to encourage children to read more and become more interested in the subject. The course that Kings is providing is an excellent opportunity for 11+ students not only to improve their English skills in preparation for their exams but also to win a scholarship which will help fund their future education. Given the current price of university fees this funding would be incredibly beneficial, not to mention the confidence boost it would give to the successful scholars in knowing that all of their hard work has paid off. The scholarship will be given to a handful of students who show real skill in the subject as well as an eagerness to learn, thus enabling the students who have worked the hardest to be rewarded in a way that will further their education.
